Early Morning Fire at 21 Bartle Road

On Monday, January 8th, 2024 at approximately 0640hrs. Franklin Twp. Fire District #3 was dispatched to 21 Bartle Road, for reported smoke in the garage.

Car 27 (Chief Krushinski) arrived, found nothing showing from the exterior of the building. After further investigation, a fire in the wall was located on the outside of the house, running up the wooden frame of the garage door and into the walls and siding.

Franklin Police tried to knock down the flames with an extinguisher, but were unsuccessful.

Ladder 27 arrived 1st due, positioned in the front of the building and stretched a 1 3/4 in. attack line.
The crew from Ladder 27 and Engine 272 opened up the siding and the inside wall to the garage, in order to contain the fire and quickly bring it under control.

Additional Units on scene were Engine 27, Car 274, and Ladder 25. The fire scene was turned over to the Franklin Township Fire Prevention Bureau.
Thank you to the mutual aid companies that stood by in their quarters: Somerset Fire and Rescue and North Brunswick Fire Company #3. All units cleared at approximately 0810 hrs.
