GIRARD AVE. STRUCTURE
On Friday at 19:01, District 3 was toned out to the area of 307 Girard Avenue for a reported structure fire. Car 252 arrived within a minute of dispatch to a 1.5 story wood frame with smoke showing from 3 sides and possible entrapment. A first alarm box 2501P was struck.
Chief 25 arrived and command was transferred over. Car 27 arrived and assumed Operations. Engine 253 arrived and the crew along with AC25 stretched a 200′ 2″ attack line.
The crew forced entry, conducted a primary search of the first floor and located a well involved bedroom on the Charlie side. Ladder 27 arrived second due and took to the roof to open up. Ladder 25 arrived third due and stretched a second line off Engine 253. The crew from Engine 253 was able to get a quick knock on the fire with minimal extension past the fire room. Rescue 56 and Car 56 had the RIC assignment. Ladder 26 responded to the scene as well. Additional units on scene were Unit 257, Engine 272, Squad 27, Engine 27, Utility 27, Car 272, and Car 274.
