LILLIAN STREET STRUCTURE FIRE

At 1716 hours Station 27 was dispatched for the reported structure fire with entrapment at 20 Lillian Street. Chief Ries 25A arrived on scene shortly after dispatch and confirmed a working structure fire with fire showing from the A side of the one story single family dwelling. Engine 278 driven by Foreman Tom Cicerale was first due. Engine 278s crew 2nd Lt. Wells Wilson Foreman Eddie Glover FF Jason Skinner and FF Kevin Apuzzio stretched an 1-34 hose line to the front door and 25A confirmed prior to their entry that all occupants were out of the building and accounted for. Engine 8s crew advanced the primary line into the structure and around to the front bedroom where they got water on the fire. Additional arriving units pulled a second hose line for a back up line and a third hose line to assist in the investigation of the basement for fire. Interior crews worked quickly to ventilate the structure hydraulically and to pull the ceiling to check for extension. Mutual Aide companies also assisted Station 56 was called for a F.A.S.Team and Station 44 was called in to cover District 3. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
