Please help EFFD member, Chris Banks!

Chris and his fiancé just bought their first home (which is not in a flood zone) a few months back and are victims of the devastation from the recent storm, Hurricane Ida. While under the tornado warning and torrential rain that fell, the road their new home is on flooded at historic levels. They are one of two homes on the road that received epic rain levels which flooded their 1 story home. No basement so the water rushed in destroying most of their furniture, carpets, clothes, and other possessions which your donation will help to cover replacing. While the flash flooding was occurring, instead of saving his home, Volunteer FF, Chris Banks chose to save the lives of those caught in the rising waters on the road. Spending several hours wading in, then swimming and tying himself to trees he rescued individuals from seven vehicles in total. While the waters rose, his fiancé, Jen, was helping these individuals by providing shelter, drying them off, and calming them. Unfortunately the waters breached and entered their home leaving them devastated. Please help support these two amazing individuals who chose others first over their home.
