RIC INTO PISCATAWAY DIST. 2

At approximately 1416 hours today, Station 27 was requested into Piscataway District 2 as the RIC for a working structure fire at 127 Park Avenue.  Car 27, Engine 272 and Utility 27 responded with a total crew of 8 and upon arrival split between RIC and assisting with fire attack.  A 3 man crew relieved Possumtown Fire’s crew in the basement where heavy fire conditions were located.  Once the fire was knocked and everyone was out of the building, the remaining RIC firefighters were deployed to assist in extinguishing the smoldering deck and roof at the rear of the structure.  All Station 27 crews were released at approximately 1530 hours.
